Bloomreach launches Snowflake integration to unify and activate data

Bloomreach is proud to announce a new partnership with Snowflake — now, data-driven marketers can use the data stored in Snowflake to power their autonomous marketing activities via Bloomreach’s agentic platform for personalization.

With the launch of a brand-new native Snowflake Imports integration, you can directly connect Bloomreach Engagement with Snowflake. This integration allows businesses to seamlessly and efficiently import customer profiles, events, and product data directly from Snowflake into Bloomreach Engagement.

It’s more important than ever for marketers to leverage all the available data they can to help them run successful campaigns. To do this, they need to have at least a high level of knowledge of the company’s data architecture and how they can apply it to their activities, which is where data clouds and data warehouse platforms come in.

Using our native Snowflake integration, you can power Bloomreach Engagement with data stored in your Snowflake tables. This enables you to sync customer attributes, events, and catalogs to run highly targeted and personalized campaigns that drive conversions.

How the Integration Works

This integration allows Bloomreach users to connect directly to their Snowflake instance using secure authentication (username and key pair). Once the integration is established, users can create import jobs from Snowflake. These imports can be configured as:

  • Single imports for initial data synchronization
  • Repeated imports to run automatically at user-defined intervals
  • Sync updates, a scheduled, recurring delta import of changes since the previous import

The integration only requires a one-time setup — no additional setup needed. When importing from a table or view with change tracking enabled, it can automatically import subsequent changes from Snowflake via sync updates as often as every 15 minutes to keep your data in Bloomreach Engagement up to date.

Here are some of the key benefits of our new Snowflake integration:

  • Simple setup: The native SQL connector is much easier to set up compared to previous file-based import methods. Authentication is done directly within the Bloomreach platform using Snowflake credentials and keys.
  • Data flexibility: Bloomreach’s SQL-based imports can work with any sort of data structure in Snowflake, without requiring specific table or view setups.
  • High data freshness: The integration supports scheduled and recurring delta imports, allowing customers to define data freshness with a minimum frequency of 15 minutes. This ensures Bloomreach Engagement has access to up-to-date data from Snowflake for timely personalization.
  • Efficient data transfer: By leveraging a direct connection, the native integration streamlines the data transfer process, eliminating the need for manual file creation, management, and uploading.

The native Snowflake Imports integration unlocks various powerful use cases for personalized marketing by leveraging the comprehensive data stored in Snowflake:

  • Fueling Loomi AI with rich Snowflake data: Import detailed customer attributes and behaviors stored in Snowflake (e.g., purchase history, loyalty rewards, in-store interactions) to create richer and more comprehensive customer profiles in Bloomreach Engagement. This enables Loomi AI to create highly personalized segmentation and messaging at scale.
  • Highly granular segmentation: Leverage the extensive data in Snowflake to build advanced and highly specific customer segments within Bloomreach Engagement. For example, segment customers based on specific product purchases combined with geographical data stored in Snowflake.
  • Triggering personalized campaigns: Utilize event data or updated customer attributes imported from Snowflake to trigger timely and relevant marketing campaigns. For instance, trigger a follow-up email based on a recently completed purchase event recorded in Snowflake.
  • Synchronizing product catalogs: Import and regularly update product catalog information from Snowflake into Bloomreach Engagement’s catalogs. This ensures that product information in personalized recommendations and campaigns is always accurate and current.
  • Dynamic pricing and offer personalization: Use up-to-date product availability, pricing, or margin data stored in Snowflake to dynamically inform discount decisions or personalized pricing within Bloomreach campaigns. For example, promote lower-stock products or high-margin items to specific segments dynamically.
  • Lifecycle stage personalization powered by Loomi AI: Use Snowflake to maintain lifecycle stage classifications (e.g., onboarding, active, churn risk, reactivation). Import these as attributes, then let Loomi AI automatically personalize message timing, creative, and product offers for each stage.
  • Next-best offer predictions: Combine Snowflake data on customer lifetime value, category affinity, past purchases, and promotion responsiveness. Feed this into Loomi AI predictions to surface the next-best offer or product recommendation with the highest likelihood of conversion.
  • AI-driven content personalization based on sentiment and feedback scores: Ingest NPS scores, customer satisfaction surveys, or sentiment analysis results stored in Snowflake (e.g., from support tickets, product reviews, or CSAT surveys). Then, let Loomi AI use this data to tailor tone and content strategy.
  • Unified data for comprehensive analytics: Export detailed customer interaction data from Bloomreach (like email opens, clicks, website visits) to Snowflake to create a single source of truth for comprehensive analysis. While the Snowflake integration primarily focuses on imports, Bloomreach offers exports to cloud storage like GCS, which can then be loaded into Snowflake. One more thing: To follow zero-copy practices and protect sensitive customer data, you can also calculate segments in Snowflake and only send segment information to protect the privacy of your customers. This means you can minimize data duplication by only sending final calculated segments and attributes without transferring raw sensitive data.
